Shipping to and from United Kingdom

General guidance only. Customs and tax rules change, and the requirements for your shipment depend on the goods, their value and the destination.

Post-Brexit customs declarations

Goods moving between Great Britain and the EU need customs declarations. Duties and import VAT may apply depending on the goods, their origin and value. Northern Ireland has its own arrangements.

VAT on imports

UK VAT is generally collected at the point of sale for lower-value consignments sold to consumers, and at import for higher-value goods. Rules can change, so check the current position.

Documentation

Include a commercial invoice with accurate descriptions, values and HS codes for goods.
